Women with ADHD typically have tremendous time management challenges, chronic disorganization, and feelings of stress . They also have difficulties in money management, children with ADHD, and a history of anxiety and depression.
So we have little chance to recognize her own ADHD until middle age .The ADHD problem is treated with a combination of stimulant medication.
ADHD-focused psychotherapy is also used to treat ADHD which is very structured, goal-oriented, and uses many new techniques, as well as standard psychotherapy techniques.
Women with ADHD struggle with low self-esteem more than men. This needs to be a major focus of therapy.As per Rockledges research finding published in the Journal of Attention Disorders and the Journal of Clinical Psychology.
Women with ADHD were more have a helpless style of responding to negative situations than the women without the disorder.
The ADHD women tend to blame themselves when bad things happen. Women with ADHD were likely to believe that they couldn't control the outcomes of life events.
A woman with ADHD is most likely not to make efforts to finish challenging tasks due to her belief that she has no ability to change the negative Outcome. By thinking like this she further strengthen the belief that she is unable to accomplish things in life.
Women with ADHD most likely will have a history of depression and anxiety. They could have received psychological treatment more often and had received more prescriptions for psychotropic medications than the women without ADHD.
